Hello! My name is John Aynsley. I have worked for nearly 40 years as an engineer, manager, and teacher of high-quality technical training courses to adults in the electronics industry. More recently I have become more interested in how we,
as people, relate to other people and to ourselves. In common with a lot of people, I started practising mindfulness in response to the anxiety that I was feeling trying coping with the stresses of everyday life in the modern world, where it
can seem as if we are under constant pressure to get things done and to meet the expectations of others. Mindfulness has helped me to understand a lot more about myself, has helped me to relate better to other people, and has led to a change
of priorities in my life.
Having experienced the benefits of mindfulness in my own life, I am naturally enthusiastic to share those benefits with others. In teaching mindfulness, my goal will be to offer you the opportunity to explore mindfulness for yourself and to
discover whether it could be of benefit to you. I will not be trying to force my beliefs onto you: mindfulness is all about your experience.
I have a Certificate in Mindfulness Teaching from the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation, a Diploma in Counselling Skills from Peter Symonds College, Winchester, and a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma from the Anglo-European College of Therapeutic Hypnosis.
I am currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling from Iron Mill College, Poole.
